Tesla CEO Elon Musk asks if Tesla owners would like to play The Witcher in their cars, prompting excited responses from fans. Tesla cars offer several video games for owners to play, including the incredibly difficult Cuphead, which was added to Teslas in September 2019. On Twitter, Musk posted a tweet asking if Tesla owners “want to play The Witcher game on your Tesla,” also reminding them that they can watch The Witcher TV show on Netflix using the Tesla Netflix theatre feature....

Apparently Netflix has decided that killing us with simple anticipation of its TV show The Witcher will not do, so they have to tease fans with character trailers on YouTube. This means that we get introductions of the main character Geralt of Rivia, the sorceress Yennefer of Vengerberg, and their adopted child Ciri - aka Princess Cirilla, all told by their respective actors in featurettes less than three minutes long....

Throughout the second half of the 2010s, Tekken 7 was all the rage, no pun intended. NHL 16 will see the return of EA Sports Hockey League when it releases on PS4 and Xbox One this September, EA has confirmed. The popular online team mode was absent from last year’s NHL 15, but will return in a “reimagined” form in NHL 16, letting players choose a specialised player class “to deliver a balanced competitive experience on the ice”. 6 vs 6 online team play is also included, as is online couch co-op which appears to let local players jump in and out of online matches....

Nintendo-published mobile game Draglia Lost is shutting down. The role-playing game’s final chunk of story will be delivered in July, with the arrival of Chapter 26 part two. Servers will then close - albeit “at a later date” yet to be announced by Nintendo. “The Dragalia Lost main campaign is scheduled to reach its conclusion in July of 2022 with part two of chapter 26, the final and climactic addition to its long-running story,” Nintendo annouced today via the Draglia Lost website....

Nintendo has released the latest update for Nintendo Switch Sports, with the latest patch finally adding Golf to the line up of games in the collection. Golf comes as part of the game’s 1.3.0 update, and is available in both offline and online modes. It includes a whopping 21 courses made up of classics from across the Wii Sports series. Are you excited to finally get your hands on People Can Fly’s Outriders? If so, prepare to get a little less excited. Outriders clearly already missed its previous release date, but it has officially been delayed again. Officially. It will now launch on April 1, 2021, according to the game’s official Twitter page. Alongside other changes, Blizzard is reworking how Overwatch 2‘s Competitive mode works. Competitive has always been a playground where players get serious about their gameplay. The game’s more complicated aspects such as metas, team compositions, and hero match-ups are important in Competitive. That will all remain true for the Competitive mode in Overwatch 2, but the ranking system will be completely different. Skill Tier Divisions will replace the old Skill Rating (SR) system....

Microsoft has announced that it is to cease its Mixer livestreaming platform next month and instead partner with Facebook Gaming going forward from July 22. Making the announcement in a blog post on the Mixer website and an accompanying release on the Xbox Wire last night, Phil Spencer said that ‘It became clear that the time needed to grow our own livestreaming community to scale was out of measure with the vision and experiences that Microsoft and Xbox want to deliver for gamers now, so we’ve decided to close the operations side of Mixer and help the community transition to a new platform....

Minecraft players on the PlayStation 4 can finally breathe a sigh of relief, as a new update–which goes live on the morning of December 10–will deliver one feature they’ve been dying to get: Minecraft cross-play. Developer Mojang has been steadily uniting Minecraft players of every platform with its bedrock version of the game, and Sony’s console is finally getting in on some of the action. Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling has responded to claims that the PC version of Modern Warfare 2 has sold poorly, stating first week sales beat that of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. “Yes, PC is the smallest percentage in terms of how much sold on each platform but that hardly means anything other than the PC is just the smallest market,” wrote Bowling on the game’s forums He added: “The PC version of Modern Warfare 2 has actually outsold the PC version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare in its first week....
