Nintendo is looking to offer ‘new gaming experiences’ with the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, as revealed in an interview with three designers who worked on the first game (via Segment Next). A sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was a surprise announcement at E3 this year, sneakily slotted into the end of Nintendo’s showcase. It was originally planned to be a DLC addition to the critically acclaimed entry to the series, but it became clear that the team had bigger ideas....

A modder has released a full voice pack conversion for Capcom’s Resident Evil HD Remaster on PC which implements the voice acting from the game’s original 1996 release. “It took me a long time to finish this mod mainly because there were more than 500 audio files to edit,” explained the modder going by the name Bunny. “And the dialogues were already mixed with sound effects like footsteps, gunshots, enemies, etc....

Polish studio People Can Fly has inferred that multiplayer shooter Outriders has failed to make a profit in the first quarter since launch. That’s according to a note to investors from parent company PCF group (as spotted by GamesIndustry.biz). The note claims it has yet to receive royalty payments from publisher Square Enix, which it says were to be paid after the latter’s costs were covered. Any royalties generated were supposed to be paid within 45 days of the end of the quarter following the game’s launch, putting the deadline at Monday....

Popular esports tournament organizer Nerd Street Gamers has raised $12 million in investments from Five Below and other companies. The investment will go towards building new esports training centers in multiple locations, including facilities housed on university campuses. Nerd Street Gamers is a Philadelphia-based company, known for their series of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournaments known as Fragadelphia. The $12 million investment comes from American discount chain Five Below, along with Comcast, Elevate Capital, SeventySix Capital, and angel investor George Miller....

Square Enix has released the first gameplay footage of NieR 2, now officially titled NieR: Automata.
