Middle-earth: Shadow of War is removing all traces of microtransactions in today’s latest title update. Shadow of War update 1.18 gives the boot to the controversial market feature, instead replacing it with a Garrison menu that stores any Orcs you’ve hoovered up from Online Vendettas and Ranked Conquests. In addition, players can now utilise in-game Mirian to train, upgrade, and customise your gaggle of grog-loving grunts. Shadow of War’s endgame antics have also been streamlined, with Shadow Wars renamed to Epilogue and now feature narration by Shelob, the Witch-king, and Dark Talion....

A pre-release of the new version of Minecraft - or to give it its proper name, Minecraft 1.19.1 - is now available, and it alters how bans work within the game. In this new version, players banned from an online server will now also see the ban applied to all servers they have access to. This will include both personal and private ones. Players who wish to see another player banned due to misconduct will have to send a ban request to Mojang....

Recently, Monster Hunter World: Iceborne received an update that introduced a new subspecies of Zinogre. Known as the Stygian Zinogre, apparently, this wasn’t the only thing lurking in the shadows. Capcom has pulled back the curtain on that other, mysterious monster and revealed it will be a siege version of the Elder Dragon, Xeno’jiiva. In a new developer diary video published yesterday, Capcom explained that the new secret monster players can encounter is a “mature” version of an already present monster, Xeno’jiiva....

Alinity has done it again, drawing a large amount of uncomfortable attention to her Twitch channel while attempting a headstand. During a particularly unfortunate pose leading into the headstand, Alinity’s dog Luna approached her from behind and …invaded her privacy. The clip stirred up a good amount of controversy, many accusing the streamer of allowing the dog to intrude for a little too long. Of course, the internet being as weird as it is, someone decided to go through Alinity’s channel and compile every clip they could find of her dog creating awkward situations – and it’s a lot....

With every addition to Mortal Kombat 11’s roster, there’s a slight tweak to the metagame. Some characters may not have as much of an impact as others, but there seems to be one consensus when it comes to Mortal Kombat 11 DLC fighters: they’re all on par with currently available fighters. It’s not unusual for a fighting game to have a clear delineation of characters, with some simply not cut out for any competitive gameplay, but that’s not the case here....

The full roster of the upcoming DLC Kombat Pack for Mortal Kombat 11 was leaked yesterday. Developer NetherRealm Studios originally planned to give players a countdown timer that would reveal a new trailer for the DLC pack. However, some players were able to manipulate the URL and were able to uncover Kombat Pack’s full roster and its release date. Now, NetherRealms just dropped the full trailer for its upcoming Kombat Pack, confirming yesterday’s leak....

Cosplay costumes can often be hit or miss, as some longtime cosplayers get their costumes accurate to a T while newly-initiated ones sometimes miss the mark. There are plenty of Mortal Kombat cosplayers out there, but one cosplayer in particular has gotten the look of a female Scorpion down to an absolute science. Rocio Cosplayer, or rociocosplayer on Instagram, knows her way around an accurate costume. Recently, she has been posting images to Instagram of herself in an outfit of Mortal Kombat fighter Scorpion....

Today Warner Bros. Games released a new video of its popular platform fighting game MultiVersus. The track is associated with the upcoming Rick and Morty characters and it’s titled “Get Schwifty.” This is a remixed instrumental version of the wacky song that appeared in the cartoon, A second bonus track also comes from Scooby-Doo, titled Scooby’s Haunted Mansion. We already know that Morty is coming on August 23, while Rick will follow at some point during Season 1, which will also bring more characters....

One of the most famous mechanics in Modern Warfare 2 seems to be facing a glitch. Every veteran player knows how to utilize the killstreak and the scorestreak. However, the SAE mechanic is not working currently in MW2 due to some glitch. Many players have reported that as soon as the tablet pops up, they cannot use the airstrike nor can they get rid of the tablet. Since many have been killed due to this glitch, it seems to be seriously affecting the game of many players....

Looks like the game will continue for the dev team over at Mythic Quest. Apple TV+ has ordered Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet season 2 before the first season of the show even premieres. Apple made the announcement during the streamer’s appearance at the 2020 Winter TCA press tour. The impressively-named Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet comes from a team of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia writers and producers: Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day, David Hornsby, and Megan Ganz....

However, since a deal was likely in place before Wednesday’s first season was released, these rumors have turned out to be false, as the show will remain on Netflix for at least the time being. Details regarding the hit show’s second season are scarce so far, but we do know that a writer’s room was already being formed before the renewal even happened. This is almost certainly because of the show’s popularity giving the creatives being the series the courage that a renewal would eventually happen....

A new ECC listing has seemingly revealed three new GPU designs currently in development by AMD. It could be that AMD is targeting entry-level users with these GPUs. While the exact details on these graphics cards aren’t yet known, we can glean a few things from these listings. Bear in mind, however, that most of the information discussed here comes from this listing and not directly from AMD. This means that a lot of these details are subject to change in the coming months....

Borderlands 3 players have another new shift code to use in the game, but if they want to use it and claim their free golden key, they will have to act really fast. Randy Pitchford released the new Borderlands 3 shift code on Twitter earlier this morning, and it expires at 10am CT. That means Borderlands 3 players have just about half an hour from the time of publishing this post if they want to redeem the new shift code....

We’re finally just about there, Chainsaw Man fans. The anime will premiere on Crunchyroll tomorrow, Oct. 11, at 12 PM ET and everyone will finally get their eyes on MAPPA’s new delightfully violent work. We have also gotten what will likely be the final trailer from Crunchyroll, but it is worth a watch even if you intend on devouring the first episode tomorrow. The story scenes shown are just broken up enough that you aren’t going to suffer any spoilers by checking it out....

We got a glimpse at some of Days Gone gameplay during Sony’s E3 media briefing. During the presentation we saw the protagonist get knocked off his back and then have a scrap with a few nasty so-and-sos. In the demo we saw the leading man engage in what looked like some QTE melee, and use a bear trap to incapacitate a human enemy. The gameplay also showed the player using a pair of binoculars to scope out an area and place an explosive charge on a wall, causing a group of infected to storm a human settlement....

With these new listings, it seems highly possible that Deep Silver could be reviving the game and bringing it back from development hell, but do take them with a grain of salt as we haven’t heard anything from the publishers or developers just yet. The latest edition of Unearthed Arcana has added three subclasses to the fifth edition of Dungeons & Dragons, including the College of Creation school for bards, the Unity Domain for clerics, and the Clockwork Soul Origin for sorcerers. Unearthed Arcana is a regular feature on the official Dungeons & Dragons website that gives out playtest material to players for free, often in the form of new subclasses and abilities. It should be stressed that the material that appears in Unearthed Arcana is still in a development phase and DMs are within their rights to refuse to use them if they feel that the content is unbalanced....
