Netflix has acquired its third game development studio, Boss Fight Entertainment. This latest acquisition comes after the streaming giant acquired Oxenfree developer Night School Studio last September, and then Stranger Things: Puzzle Tales creator Next Games earlier this month. “Boss Fight’s mission is to bring simple, beautiful, and fun game experiences to our players wherever they want to play,” said the founders of Boss Fight Entertainment in a statement posted to Netflix’s official website....

As picked up by Eurogamer, Nintendo is now offering monetary rewards for info on Switch security weaknesses. Nintendo of Japan has updated its terms and conditions to allow its customer service staff to refuse repair requests if faced with harrassment. An update to Nintendo’s Japanese repair and warranty regulations in October warned customers they may no longer be eligible for a product repair or replacement if they are found to have behaved inappropriately to staff. This includes instances where a staff member has been threatened or verbally abused, or where a customer may have been deliberately wasting their time....

Nintendo says its Russian eShop has been “temporarily placed into maintenance mode” after its payment service provider suspended the processing of payments in rubles. A PlayStation Plus subscription will not be required to play No Man’s Sky online, Sony has confirmed.
