Developer Team Ninja and publisher KOEI Tecmo Europe have announced that they’re bringing back three classic Ninja Gaiden games to modern consoles and PC in the form of the Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection this June. The collection will include previously upgraded releases Ninja Gaiden: Sigma (originally released for the PlayStation 3 in 2007), Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 (2008) alongside 2012’s Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge and “most” of the previously released extra game modes and DLC including the ability to play as Ayane, Rachel, Momiji and Kasumi....

It’s not long now until the release of Pokémon Ultra Moon and Ultra Sun on Nintendo’s handheld devices, and to celebrate the occasion the Japanese publisher has announced that alongside the release of the two games, it’ll also release a special edition new Nintendo 2DS XL console that has been designed like a Poké Ball. It’s worth noting that this special edition console won’t be coming with a copy of the game, or a charger....

Nioh 2 has released a brand new trailer in preparation for pre-orders as well as the upcoming beta test coming on November 1st. The trailer also came with a confirmed release date for Nioh 2 on the PS4 coming in 2020. The original Nioh released in February, 2017 on PS4 and was eventually ported to PC when the Complete Edition launched in November, later that same year. Since the original title released to high praise from reviewers and fans alike for its intense, layered combat and challenging boss battles, the sequel (technically a prequel) has been highly anticipated from fans of hardcore action RPGs, offering similarly impressive boss fights and a new era of Japan to explore....

Sony and Hello Games have released the second in a four-part video series designed to explain exactly what you do in the imminent space exploration title. The second video is focussed on fighting. “On a planet, players are equipped with a multi-tool to defend against deadly predator creatures and mine resources. Attacking creatures – aggressive or otherwise – or mining resources will call the attention of the Sentinels, a robotic force who seeks to keep each planet in a natural, undisturbed state,” explains the video’s blurb....

Oddworld Inhabitants has announced it’s bringing Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD to Xbox and PlayStation next week. The 2005 action adventure originally got a HD remaster all the way back in 2011 for the PlayStation 3 and PC. Eventually, it’d get another dusting off and upgrade when it arrived on the Nintendo Switch in 2020. This latest version gives the game a further polish still, now supporting 4K and 60FPS on Series X|S and PS5....

Xbox Live’s very own Major Nelson recently interviewed Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling on his podcast, and Mr. Bowling released some details about the upcoming second map pack for Modern Warfare 2. Just like the previous map pack it will indeed be hitting Xbox 360 first with limited exclusivity on June 3rd. The Resurgence map pack will set you back 1200 points ($15), which seems to be the new standard for Call of Duty maps....

NetherRealm Studios may have begun preliminary work on next-gen Injustice and Mortal Kombat games according to a job posting spotted by The Game Post. “NetherRealm, a division of WB Games Inc., seeks a Principal Software Engineer – Graphics to drive the next generation console graphics vision for the Mortal Kombat and Injustice franchises,” reads a job posting on the WB Games website. “As a Principal Graphics Engineer, you will work closely with the Lead Engineer and the rest of your peers to develop state-of-the-art graphics technology for the PS5 and XBOX Series X....

Last summer, Screen Rant reported on news that a Mortal Kombat 3 movie may start production later that summer. The Bradwell Conspiracy will launch this autumn for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC, as announced in a press release by publisher Bossa Studios. An explosion rocks the Bradwell Stonehenge Museum, and when the protagonist comes to, the only other survivor is trapped behind a locked door. The characters must communicate using a pair of Bradwell AR Smart Glasses, and send photos of the collapsed building in order to find a way out....

Ghost Games currently has “no plans” to release to release any premium DLC or implement microtransactions in Need For Speed, the developer has said. Instead, the studio will “release a series of free content updates” following its launch this November. “For any driving game a steady frame rate is incredibly important, and with Need for Speed we’re delivering super high production values when it comes to both visuals and sound – as can be seen in our pre-alpha footage of the game,” said community manager Ben Walke....
