The patch will mean 90 per cent of crash issues reported at launch are resolved. “If a PS4 crashes, it sends us a crash dump. Today Bandai Namco announced the release date of its upcoming anime-inspired JRPG One Piece Odyssey. We learn that the game will launch for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC on January 13, 2023. On top of the standard edition, we’re also getting the option to purchase two special editions. Outriders was recently pushed back to February 2021, as developer People Can Fly continues to finish up on development. Even so, the current state of the game looks promising, with a solid amount of content in place. The team says the main storyline for this co-op shooter clocks in at around 40 hours, but there’s more. Microsoft has slung fresh mud at Sony regarding its reluctance to allow cross-play in Fortnite between PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners, saying the format holder ‘isn’t listening to gamers.’ The Xbox One console maker was responding to comments from Sony chief Kenichiro Yoshida, who said that the reason it won’t allow cross-play is the fact it believes PS4 is ’the best place to play.' ‘[Sony still] isn’t listening to gamers,’ said Xbox engineer, Mike Ybarra, in a post on Twitter....

MSI has announced two new 27-inch gaming monitors are on their way to consumers in the form of the MSI Optix MAG273 and Optix MAG273R. Both monitors include IPS panels that feature a 144Hz refresh rate and a fast 1ms response time, which gears them toward the competitive eSports community. The 1080p displays also come High Dynamic Range (HDR) Ready with support for AMD FreeSync. Neverwinter, a free-to-play MMO based on the Dungeons and Dragons franchise, will launch for PS4 on July 19, Perfect World Entertainment has announced. Neverwinter on PlayStation 4 will contain all nine expansions in addition to the base game and eight playable classes, each with varying paths. A tenth expansion called Storm King’s Thunder, that will have players investigate the sudden return of the Giants to the Forgotten Realms, is coming later this year....

On Tuesday, developer Treyarch announced in a Reddit post that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will receive new multiplayer content on August 6, as part of the next phase of Operation Apocalypse Z. Pandemic will be a new mode for Blackout players. This will possibly add a more competitive angle to the team-based battle royale game, as ‘the rules have changed from “last squad standing” to “last survivors on Earth against an endless swarm of undead at the end of the world....
