Following leaked footage of an early build, modders have now made EA’s unreleased Skate game playable. Despite the developers of the remake requesting players don’t download the leaked build, modders have adapted it for multiplayer and are hosting their own servers. The build already has a multiplayer capability, which modders have enabled. Watch on YouTube Still Working On It | skate. That’s according to Motherboard, who spoke with an admin of a Discord server sharing the build....

It looks like politics may be affecting the world of gaming again. Amidst the recent tension escalations between the US and Iran, some Iranian players claim that they have been blocked from using Call of Duty: Modern Warfare servers. One such player, hamoun76, made his trouble with Modern Warfare known on Reddit. He explained that when he tried to access the online servers of the game, he found that he had been blocked....

Mortal Kombat 11’s Erron Black has an especially interesting unlockable intro. Netflix has unveiled another image from the upcoming The Witcher TV series, this time focusing on Geralt’s loyal friend and trusty steed Roach. The image, which you can seen embedded below in the tweet from the network, shows, well – a horse, but it should also be noted that Executive Producer on the upcoming show Lauren Hissrich added that fans should look extra close at the image, saying ‘Squint and you’ll see something else in this picture....

Nvidia is aiming to introduce a new variant of its RTX 3060 GPU after its failed attempt at limiting crypto mining with a hash rate limiter, according to an unnamed GPU manufacturer in Taiwan. This hash limiter software didn’t stop miners for long, due to the accidental release of the 470.05 developer driver last month. This specific driver allowed users to completely disable the hash rate limiter, rendering the software useless for mining prevention....

In a surprise post on the Oculus Blog, the Facebook-owned VR company announced that tracking for actual human hands is coming to the Oculus Quest VR Headset earlier than expected. Oculus is releasing hand tracking as an early consumer feature on Quest starting this week and as an SDK for developers next week. The feature will be bundled with the coming v12 update and will work with the Quest’s home interface and some first-party apps....

The president of the International Olympic Committee has ruled out the inclusion of esports in the Olympic Games, saying it would be wrong to feature games that are ‘promoting violence or discrimination.’ Speaking with the Associated Press, Thomas Bach noted that the inclusion of ‘killer games’ would be ‘contradictory to the Olympic values.’ ‘We cannot have in the Olympic programme a game which is promoting violence or discrimination,’ he said. ‘So-called killer games....
